Artist Bio - JENYES

Jordan Perryman, known artistically as JENYES (pronounced genius), is a self-taught painter, graphic artist, and recording artist born in San Diego and raised in Mobile, Alabama. Nicknamed “Pikasso” at just eight years old, he carried the name as he transitioned from visual art to music — a journey that has now come full circle. As JENYES, he blends both worlds, creating artwork that often serves as a visual extension of his music, with soundtracks that breathe life into each painting.

His work is raw, reflective, and rooted in personal experience — the voice of a Black man matriculating through life, documenting what he sees, feels, and understands. Now focused on expanding his presence in the visual art world, JENYES is preparing for his first gallery exhibitions and solo shows, diving deeper into storytelling through color, composition, and emotion. Every piece is an invitation into his world. Welcome to the show.
